Dead Trigger 2, the hyper realistic zombie FPS title from Madfinger Games, has obliterated the competition in this year's Best App Ever Awards on Android.

Taking the top spot as the Best App Ever for 2014, the Most Innovative App and the Most Innovative Game, it has proven that the appetite for zombie games on Android is roughly equivalent to the appetite the zombies have for brains in the action packed shooter.

Of course, it was far from the only winner in the awards organised by our lovely sister site 148 Apps. Candy Crush Saga clashed with Supercell to win the Best Casual Game award, while Fifa 2014 took advantage of World Cup fever to emerge as the top sports title.

Meanwhile, Toonslab's gangster themed multiplayer action game Graalonline Era romped to victory in the Best Arcade and Action category. There was also good news for Doctor Who: Legacy from Tiny Rebel Games, who proved that the Doctor really is the cleverest man in the universe by winning the Best Brain and Puzzle game award.

And one final vignette about the seemingly never ending popularity of the living dead, Zombies, Run! by Six to Start ran away with the prize for the Best Health and Fitness app on Android.

In WWE SuperCard, you have a team of five wrestler cards. This includes your “Champion” (or the card that will appear by your name when people play against you), another singles wrestler, a tag team, and a diva.

In addition to the five superstars, you will also have two support cards. These support cards are either famous WWE managers, objects (such as weapons typically used in professional wrestling like chairs or ladders), or other elements that have to do with WWE.

Each game consists of three rounds. If you win two rounds, you automatically win, but you will still have to play the third round regardless.

Each round will take into account specific statistics. Each card has four statistics.

Power (POW)
Toughness (TGH)
Speed (SPD)
Charisma (CHA)

So, for example, if a round is determined based on SPD, the superstar with the highest speed stat will win the match. In the event of a tie, both players will receive a point.

Statistics can be influenced in a couple of different ways. For example, you can use support cards (one per game) to raise your statistics or lower the stats of your opponent to give you a better chance of winning.

When it comes to tag teams, you need to look at the diamonds on each superstar. The diamond will either be yellow or blue, and it will be half-filled. You need to pair your superstar up with a tag partner that has the opposite fill of the diamond. This will create a full diamond and offer up bonus stats for both superstars. If the superstars have contradictory diamond fills, their stats will actually be lowered.

You start the game by getting a free pack. Then you need to set your active roster and support cards. The game will put you through a tutorial to make sure you know how to play before you face off against any actual opponents.

As you continue to unlock more cards, you will realize that you don’t have much use for them in terms of the actual matches. What you can do with these seemingly useless cards is “feed” them to the cards that you do actually use through the “train” process.

First, go whatever card you want to train. Choose the train option. Then pick the card that you want to feed to them. The card you chose to help “train” will be discarded, and the card that you selected to receive the training will gain XP and potentially have its stats raised as well. Note that  you will have a lot of cards that are “IN USE” due to the King of the Ring mode.

Cards that are of higher rarity class can level up more than cards that are of lower rarity classes.

As you continue to rack up wins and build a better deck, the tier of your deck will increase. You start at the Rare tier, but you can increase that by adding rarer and rarer cards to your deck. Once this is accomplished, you will start unlocking better rare cards for free after completing matches such as Exhibition matches.

GAME MODES.

There are two game modes, Deathmatch, where you are alone against everybody else and Team ZoneOnce you are in the spawn menu, click on the flashing icon on the bottom right of the screen to enter the battle.

GAMEPLAY UI – MECHANICS

To move, use W, A, S and D keyboard. To aim and shoot, use the mouse. You can reload by using “R” and Roll through the floor using “

If you’d like to change the mouse sensitivity and other control options, you can do so by accessing the settings menu, which you do during gameplay by hitting escape.

What you get from participating of a mission is XP points, Gold (for some special actions) and cash. You will get more of these three if you did some mission bonus, a new rank bonus or first match of the day bonus.

RANKS.

The rank menu is located on the upper menu bar, right next to your username. There you will find all sorts of statistics, like accuracy, headshots, shots fired, money earned, xp earned

Ranks are the equivalent of levels in other social games, once yougather a certain amount of XP points after a battle, you will awarded a new rank

The global leaderboards are located on the lower part of the screen

WEAPONS.

Weapons are not available by default you start with Bandit, a submachinegun and a regular grenade. Once you bought a weapon, you will be able to choose it from the equip menu. In that same menu, you can change hats, boots, and misc items like grenades. Some slots are reserved for premium accounts.

RESEARCH.

The research area allows you to develop or upgrade new, more powerful weapons, items or even player abilities (perks) for the game money you have earned. These are tiny but crucial adjustments that can turn the match in your favor, by giving you a considerable advantage over other players. Research is based on a tree structure, so you first have to research basic elements at the top in order to get to the more advanced technologies at the bottom. To research something, simply click on the selected element and a pop-up window will appear.

There are multiple research trees; Close Ring weapons, Assault Weapons, Energy Weapons, Alunchers, Explosives, Turrets, Teamplay, Move Perks.

The upgrades for each unlocked weapon vary, Silencers, Bullet Speed, Clip Size and Damage are some of them.

SHOP.

Everything at the shop costs Gold. You can buy boosters, which can range from sentries to armors and speed. The skins are merely there to show off and the hats protect you from headshots. There’s always some bundles you can buy to get a bit of everything at a fair price.

SHADOGUN DEADZONE.

• When you kill an enemy that is currently using a Booster, you will get Gold as a reward.
• EMP grenade or melee action to take down turrets in the top left there is a detector and in the top right weapons and items. Use mousewheel to change weapons and 1 to 3 to pick items
• Using invisibility allows you to get past enemies that are holding down a position
• Use research to better equip yourself for battle
• Shots to the head inflict way more damage than other shots.
• Log in daily to get great rewards, such as boosters.

There seemed to be a reasonable amount of people interested in Total War Battles and I will give you a useful guide for the game.

In almost all the Total War Games (With certain obvious exceptions like Empire), the rock-paper-scissors formula, with Swords beating Spears, Spears beating Cavalry and Cavalry beating Swords. Of course, when you throw in archers, morale, flanking, numbers, special abilities, unit quality and other factors you can't simply rely on having the correct 'counter'. However, it is a good formula to always keep in mind as a basic strategy that will work most of the time.

More in-depth

Generally the most important thing to watch for when sending a 'counter' is the difference in unit quality. You aren't going to beat an elite unit with a tier 1 fodder unit, even if you're sending swordsmen against spearmen. Another important factor is flanking. Cavalry may lose to spearmen in an even fight, but if you charge them from behind with your cavalry they will die just like a swordsman. If the pointy end isn't pointed towards the enemy it's not going to do much.

Infantry

Infantry tend to form the basis of your army, barring extremely specialised or unique circumstances. These are the guys that will hold your line, and fight against the enemies. They tend to be fairly slow (Armour is heavy!) even when running so don't expect these guys to be able to respond quickly to new developments in the battlefield when already engaged in a fight.
